Self Sufficiency Workshops
Keystone Community Services is now offering free 90 minute self-sufficiency workshops in St. Paul and suburban Ramsey County. All classes are delivered in a simple and comfortable format that allows attendees to contribute to the discussion. Classes also include informative take-home packets for continued reference. Below is a schedule and description of our upcoming classes. Please take a moment to review and contact Rich Grinstead at 651-603-6655 or firstname.lastname@example.org with questions and/or to schedule a workshop presentation for your staff, clients, or neighbors.
We will discuss tenant and landlord issues including what you need to know before signing that legally binding lease. Attendees will become more knowledgeable about their rights and responsibilities, housing resources, avoiding eviction, expunging an eviction, and much more. All are welcome and encouraged to share personal experiences and ask questions. This curriculum was developed in partnership with Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services (SMRLS).
In this session we learn new concepts and tools for achieving financial success even on a “shoestring budget”. Attendees will learn how to better preserve and save money, as well as how to build and protect credit, build assets, learn basic investment strategies, financial terms, consumer protection, and more.
This workshop will focus on developing employment search and soft job skills that are necessary for finding livable wage jobs and being successful at work. Attendees will gain better knowledge on how to polish their résumé and cover letter, as well as helpful tips on preparing for job interviews. This training is being offered in conjunction with Twin Cities RISE!
